Our process starts with an inquiry form. This is my introduction to your vision, so please be as detailed as possible with your ideas, expectations and inspiration. After reviewing, you will receive a custom proposal with the available options and my suggestions about which service will best meet your needs. After determining which options are best, a 50% non refundable retainer is required to reserve your shoot. Once paid, you will be able to choose your date and time and our detailed planning process begins! We begin the planning process and creative direction prep which includes prop suggestions, mood board, location and lighting to set the entire shoot.

The short answer? No. I do not give out unedited RAW images. Part of what makes my brand unique and valuable is my editing style. Most professional photographers agree that they do not provide RAW unedited image files. A few things to note about RAW files are, first, they're massive. Second, they stripped-down images that leave the photographer a lot of latitude to add color, life, and pop to the image.

Images can be expected in 4-5 weeks. After your shoot, the real work begins. Editing, when done right, takes time and a lot of it. I have entire work days dedicated to editing recent shoots. I edit in multiple-day sessions instead of editing all of your images and providing them in one day. I have found when I come back after a few days, I can fine-tune and hone in on different aspects to improve your image.
If you would like any images expedited, you may submit an emailed request. A fee of $100/image will be charged.

How does your process work?
The 50% retainer fee is nonrefundable and is required to reserve the Client’s session date and time. This retainer compensates the Photographer for reserving the date and declining other potential bookings. If Client cancels the Services at least thirty (30) days prior to the scheduled Shoot Date, any payments made beyond the 50% retainer fee will be refunded in full. The 50% retainer will be retained by the Photographer. If Client cancels the Services fewer than thirty (30) days prior to the scheduled Shoot Date, all payments made, including any additional fees, are nonrefundable. In the unlikely event that a photographer must reschedule due to illness, emergency, or circumstances beyond their control, all payments made will be applied to a mutually agreed upon rescheduled date.

Outside of digital advertisement and marketing, your images may not be licensed to a third party for printing. Requests from papers, magazines, and other publishers should be forwarded to Courtney Terry Photography for editorial licensing assistance.
